The Darkstar is a entity sealed away under peach's castle locked for eternity due to it's sheer power, citizens of the mushroom kingdom can live in peace knowing it's well rested and locked away forever. Or so they thought. Since the defeat of the Darkstar a strange aura cast over a seemingly newly discovered island, what comes next for Mario and Luigi is unknown, and the seeming absence of the Koopa king and the princess also has others up and arms
